Host a White House Youth Clean Energy Forum Viewing Party!

On Wed. Dec 2nd we have the opportunity to directly engage with the Obama Administration during its first-ever White House Youth Clean Energy Forum.

Top officials from Obama's Cabinet will address youth leaders from around the country and hear young people’s input about what their priorities should be for the Administration. You can become apart of the conversation by hosting a viewing party, engaging in the LIVE Facebook conversation, and inviting local media to cover your event to cover your response to this historic opportunity.

Below are the simple steps to host a viewing party, start by registering your event now!

WHAT: You, a couple of friends, a few campus organizations watching the webcast of the White House Youth Clean Energy Forum
WHO: Top White House officials
WHEN: Dec. 2nd from 4 pm - 7 pm ET
WHERE: The forum will be webcast live on the White House website at: http://www.whitehouse.gov/live or on Facebook with a live discussion board at: http://apps.facebook.com/whitehouselive/

Steps:

1. Register your watching party so that others can find it! ( Click the "Create an Event" button on top right of this page)
2. Find a location
3. Get the word out: invite friends, campus organizations, and maybe list your event on Organizing for America’s My.BarackObama.com
4. Invite the media (Download this guide to learn how easy this is)
5. Solicit questions and promote your party online and in your social networks. Blog and tweet about it, and update your Facebook and MySpace statuses. Be sure to send links to any posts you write to the Energy Action Coalition's Communications Manager Maegan Carberry (maegan@energyaction.net) so she can feature them. If you’re tweeting, use the official #YCEF hashtag and reply to @PowerShift09!
